I began a series based on my mother’s garden, inspired by her mother’s and grandmother’s gardens. My family has a legacy of love for art and beauty growing from the ground, and it’s a love I am so glad to have inherited. This summer has been the perfect time to soak in the beauty of summer gardens with bees buzzing and butterflies fluttering around the blooms.
After years of hearing my mom share memories of the black-eyed Susans from her granny’s Tennessee garden, this was the perfect way to start the series!
